Overview

Text Me Back AI ("we", "us", "our") is a texting assistant that helps you craft replies to messages. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it. By using our service, you agree to these practices.

Information We Collect

Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and a hashed password. We do not store plain-text passwords.

Style profile. During onboarding we ask about your age range, identity, texting style, and conflict style. You may also optionally paste writing samples. This data is stored in your profile to personalize AI replies.

Generated content. The messages you paste and the replies the AI generates are stored in your account history so you can review them later. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time.

Usage data. We collect basic usage metrics (e.g., number of generations, feature usage) to improve the product. This data is not tied to personally identifiable information beyond your account.

Rating feedback. If you rate a reply (thumbs up / thumbs down), we store that feedback alongside the reply text to improve AI quality over time.

How We Use Your Information

We use your data to:

• Provide, operate, and improve the Text Me Back AI service
• Personalize AI-generated replies to match your voice and style
• Manage your account and authenticate your sessions
• Process payments and manage subscription status
• Respond to support requests
• Send important service or account notifications (no marketing without consent)

Third-Party Services

OpenAI. We send your pasted message, optional context, and style profile to OpenAI's API to generate replies. OpenAI processes this data subject to their Privacy Policy. We do not send your email address or account details to OpenAI.

Supabase. Your account data, style profile, and generation history are stored on Supabase-hosted infrastructure (PostgreSQL). Data is encrypted at rest and in transit.

Stripe. Payment processing for web subscriptions is handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. Stripe's practices are governed by their Privacy Policy.

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we permanently delete your profile, style data, generation history, and rating data within 30 days. Anonymized, aggregated usage statistics may be retained indefinitely.

Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and data
• Object to certain processing of your data
• Data portability (receive a copy of your data)

Cookies and Local Storage

We use browser local storage (not cookies) to remember your preferred app theme. No tracking cookies or advertising pixels are used on this platform.

Children

Text Me Back AI is intended for users 18 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will promptly delete it.

Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption in transit, encrypted storage at rest, and access controls on our infrastructure. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
